WES moves WCE2020 to September due to Covid-19

13 February 2020

Our goal for the 14th World Congress on Endometriosis has not changed – but we have had to change our plans …

WES has been closely monitoring the global outbreak of Covid-19.

Since we are facing an evolving epidemiological situation, it has been decided to postpone WCE2020 to September and to move the congress out of China. We are currently working on finalising the exact dates and the venue.

Changing the venue was a difficult decision for us. We listened to many experts’ views and decided that a reschedule was the best way forward.

The health and safety of our congress attendees is paramount.

If the plan doesn’t work: change the plan, but never the goal!

WES is committed to achieving the goal of delivering a cutting edge scientific programme at WCE2020 in September.

The aim of the world congresses on endometriosis is to present and promote science that will lead to improved treatments for all affected by endometriosis. This aim has not changed.

New venue and dates

We will announce the new venue as soon as possible so that you can move (or begin) your travel plans to attend what is an exceptional programme on endometriosis.
If you have already registered for WCE2020 your registration remains valid.

Please do not hesitate to contact the congress secretariat if you have any questions.
We recognise the inconvenience caused to you and seek your support in our decision.
Thank you for your understanding!

We will be in touch in the next few weeks to confirm the dates and the new venue for the 14th World Congress on Endometriosis and we look forward to welcoming you to WCE2020 later this year.

On behalf of the WES board of directors,

Neil Johnson
WES president
