Paul Yong is an assistant professor at the University of British Columbia (UBC), research director at the BC Women’s Centre for Pelvic Pain and Endometriosis, and a gynaecologist with a fellowship in minimally invasive surgery (MIS). He is the PI of the UBC Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain Lab, and an outstanding early achiever in the field of endometriosis – known to be very collegial and collaborative. Dr Yong helped establish a WERF EPHect compliant patient database, in addition to an endometriosis biobank. He holds research grants from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), and the Health Professional Investigator Salary Award from the Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research. Dr Yong has >60 publications (~45 in endometriosis/pelvic pain/MIS), one of which as co-senior author in the NEJM.
