FARLAND Leslie

Dr Farland was appointed in the summer of 2018 as an assistant professor of epidemiology at the University of Arizona.  Her research focuses on three major themes: 

  1. The intersection between women’s reproductive health and chronic disease risk
  2. Disparities in infertility care and fertility treatment utilisation
  3. Aetiology and risk factors for endometriosis

with 10 publications in 2017 alone. She has led the organisation of abstract presentations and student and faculty panels for the Society for Epidemiologic Research and has been an active presenter and participant at the ASRM annual meetings and WCE2017. She has received several highly competitive fellowship awards specific to advancing understanding of the role of reproductive health in cancer risk and survival.
